Tesla cuts up to $4050 off Model 3 and Model Y stock, plus a trade-in bonus
Tesla Australia has sharpened its year-end deals. Selected new Model 3 and Model Y cars already in stock are now discounted by up to $4050, and buyers who trade in a car can get a bonus of up to $2000 on top. Both offers require the car to be ordered and delivered by 31 December 2026, while stocks last.
These are stock discounts, not list price cuts. Tesla’s published prices for factory orders have not changed, so the savings only apply to vehicles in Tesla’s Australian inventory, along with extra savings on some demonstrators.

With the discount applied, the cheapest Model 3 Premium RWD stock car was listed at about $57,030 drive-away in NSW, and the cheapest Model Y Premium RWD at about $61,020 drive-away. Drive-away prices vary by state and by the exact car, so check the price shown for your postcode.
How the trade-in bonus works
The trade-in bonus is $2000 for the Model 3 and Model Y Premium and Performance variants, and $1000 for the Model 3 RWD. It applies to new and demonstrator cars only, not used Teslas, and the car you trade must be registered and drivable. There is one bonus per order, and it can be combined with the stock discounts.
The bonus comes off the price, or is paid as cashback after delivery if the car is fully financed through a loan or a novated lease. Business, fleet, rental and government customers are not eligible.
Why Tesla is discounting now
Tesla started trimming stock prices in early October, when the Model Y Premium RWD was first offered with about $2950 off. The new trade-in bonus adds to that as the brand chases year-end deliveries in a busier electric car market, where the Model Y still leads EV sales but faces more rivals each month, as our September EV sales report shows.
If you would rather order a car to your own spec, our Tesla Model Y price guide and our story on the Model 3 RWD from $45,900 cover the full list prices.
