If you contact sellers, dealers, support, or use chat or messaging features, we may collect messages, contact requests, call/WhatsApp click activity, and support communications.

We may collect location details you choose to provide, such as state, city, suburb, or listing location. We do not collect precise GPS location unless a feature clearly asks for it and you allow it.

App activity and analytics
We collect app and website activity such as listing views, impressions, favourites, chat starts, contact clicks, search activity, listing performance, page usage, error logs, and device/app performance information. This helps us operate, improve, secure, and measure the platform.

Device and technical information
We may collect device type, operating system, app version, browser type, IP address, session information, crash logs, and device or other identifiers used for app functionality, security, analytics, and fraud prevention.

• show public user, seller, dealer, and listing profiles;

• verify account access and protect against fraud, spam, misuse, and security risks;

• improve app performance, search, listing quality, and user experience;

• respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests;

• comply with legal, regulatory, safety, tax, dispute, and platform security obligations.

3. Public information

Some information you provide may be visible to other users, including:

• listing photos and vehicle details;

• seller or dealer display name;

• public profile information;

• dealership name, location, services, and business details;

• sold listing status where applicable.

Do not include private or sensitive information in public listing descriptions or profile content.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only where reasonably necessary with:

• service providers that help operate the platform, such as hosting, cloud storage, email delivery, image hosting, analytics, error monitoring, and security services;

• buyers, sellers, or dealers where you choose to contact or interact with them;

We may collect listing analytics such as views, impressions, leads, favourites, call clicks, WhatsApp clicks, and chat starts. These analytics may be shown to listing owners and dealers in dashboards.

6. Account deletion and data deletion

You can delete your account inside the AussieMotor app through account settings where available.

When your account is deleted, we aim to delete or de-identify personal account information that is no longer needed.

Some information may be retained where required or reasonably necessary for legal, safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax, audit, moderation, or platform security purposes. For example, deleted listings, reports, messages, moderation records, and audit logs may be retained internally for a limited period and will not be publicly visible where they are no longer active.

We aim to process verified account deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

Security measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, secure hosting, monitoring, rate limiting, audit logging, and restricted administrative access.

AussieMotor is not intended for children under 13. Users should not create an account or submit personal information if they are not old enough to use marketplace services in their location.
