Renault Symbioz drive-away pricing from $35,990, and how the up to $4000 saving works until the end of 2026

Renault Australia is selling the Symbioz small SUV from $35,990 drive away for the Techno mild hybrid. The full hybrid E-Tech Techno is $41,990 drive away and the flagship Esprit Alpine is $45,990 drive away. The offer covers new stock bought and delivered between 1 October and 31 December 2026 at participating dealers, while stocks last.

The campaign has been promoted as saving buyers up to $4000. Renault’s offer footnotes give the drive-away prices but do not print a before price or a dollar saving for the Symbioz, so here is how the numbers stack up.

Symbioz campaign prices

GradePowertrainJune 2026 list priceCampaign drive away
TechnoMild hybrid$36,990 plus on-road costs$35,990
TechnoFull hybrid E-Tech$42,990 plus on-road costs$41,990
Esprit AlpineFull hybrid E-Tech$45,990 plus on-road costs$45,990

The Techno prices are now lower than the list price was before on-road costs, and the Esprit Alpine is the same figure as its list price but now includes registration, stamp duty and dealer delivery. Depending on your state, on-road costs on a car in this range usually add a few thousand dollars, which is where a saving of up to about $4000 comes from. The exact amount depends on where you register the car.

Fine print to check

  • New stock only, with no added options. The two Techno prices also specify no cost paint.
  • The car must be bought and delivered between 1 October and 31 December 2026.
  • Renault’s Symbioz model page adds that the Esprit Alpine price excludes Western Australia, a line that does not appear on the offers page. Western Australian buyers should confirm with their dealer.
  • Renault can vary, extend or withdraw the offer at any time.

We first covered the campaign in our earlier Symbioz drive-away story. This update focuses on how the saving is calculated and who it suits.

How the Symbioz compares

At $35,990 drive away the mild hybrid sits against small hybrid SUVs such as the Hyundai Kona Hybrid and Toyota Corolla Cross. Inside the Renault range the Renault Arkana hybrid has its own October deal, a free upgrade to Esprit Alpine. Our guide to the best hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUVs under $50,000 lists more options.

Which Symbioz to pick

The mild hybrid Techno is the value pick for city buyers. The full hybrid E-Tech costs $6000 more and suits drivers who do a lot of stop-start driving, where it can run on electric power more often. The Esprit Alpine adds the sportier styling and more equipment for another $4000.
