2027 Mazda CX-30 small SUV in Australia from $34,760 with AWD now Astina only

2027 Mazda CX-30 price and specs, new grades but AWD now Astina only

The Mazda CX-30 small SUV has been reshuffled for 2027. It is on sale now from $34,760 before on-road costs, with two new G25 grades, more equipment and better safety tech. The catch is that all-wheel drive is now offered on just one version, the flagship G25 Astina.

The G20 Touring LE, G25 Touring and the all-wheel-drive G25 GT SP have been deleted. The G25 Astina AWD still costs $2,000 more than the front-wheel-drive Astina.

Mazda Australia’s own pricing pages had not been updated when this story was written, and published price lists differ on two points. The new G25 GT appears as $45,360 in one list and $45,960 in another, and we expect the lower figure because it sits below the better-equipped GT SP. The GT SP rise is $2,300 compared with the old base GT SP, or about $1,000 compared with the old GT SP fitted with the Vision Technology package that is now standard. Confirm the final figure with your dealer.

New grades and equipment

The new G25 Evolve SP combines the 139kW and 252Nm 2.5-litre engine with front-wheel drive, gloss black 18-inch wheels, black exterior trim and black cloth seats with red stitching. The new G25 GT adds a sunroof, black leather, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a 10-way power driver’s seat. Every G25 grade now includes the Vision Technology features, such as the surround-view camera, driver monitoring, traffic jam assist and front cross-traffic alert.

Ventilated front seats arrive on the GT SP and Astina, and the GT SP swaps its burgundy leather for white synthetic leather-look trim with grey suede inserts. All grades except the G20 Pure now have roof rails, and most gain LED daytime running lights in place of halogen lamps.

Screens, safety and colours

The G20 Pure, Evolve and Touring now use the 10.25-inch Mazda Connect touchscreen instead of an 8.8-inch non-touch display, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the range. AEB adds detection for motorcyclists, junction turns and head-on collisions, and the Astina’s adaptive LED headlights gain glare-free high beam.

Zinc Green, first seen on the MX-5, is a new $595 option, and Aero Grey is a new no-cost colour. Ceramic and Zircon Sand are gone. Both engines use a six-speed automatic.

Should you wait or buy

If you need all-wheel drive, the CX-30 now costs at least $49,460 before on-road costs, so a run-out G25 GT SP AWD may be worth hunting down while stock lasts. For a wider look at the line-up, see our Mazda SUV range guide and our Mazda CX-5 price guide if you want more space.
