Production of the all-new Y63 Nissan Patrol has officially started at the Nissan Shatai Kyushu plant in Japan, with the first right-hand-drive vehicles rolling off the line bound for Australia. Nissan Australia confirmed the milestone on 13 October 2026.

The six-grade range is priced from $98,990 to $145,990 before on-road costs, and first customer deliveries remain scheduled for early 2027. Orders are open now through Nissan dealers.

Twin-turbo V6 replaces the V8

Every new Patrol uses a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 with a nine-speed automatic. It makes 317kW and 700Nm, which is 19kW and 140Nm more than the outgoing V8. Full-time four-wheel drive with a low-range transfer case, an electronic locking rear differential and eight drive and terrain modes are standard across the range.

Braked towing capacity is rated at up to 3700kg, up from 3500kg, and trailer blind spot warning is standard. The new ladder frame is 40 per cent stiffer than before and the Patrol now has multi-link independent suspension and electric power steering.

What each grade adds

The Ti brings dual 12.3-inch screens, a 3D surround camera with an invisible bonnet view, Google built-in, tri-zone climate control, 18-inch alloys with a full-size spare and ProPILOT driver assistance. The Ti+ adds a panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate and roof rails.

From the Ti-L there are larger dual 14.3-inch screens, a 12-speaker Klipsch sound system, a head-up display and adaptive e-Damper suspension. The Ti-L+ adds genuine leather-accented trim, heated and ventilated front seats and a massage driver seat.

The PRO-4X is new to Australia. It adds Adaptive Air Suspension, black 20-inch wheels, all-terrain tyres, a unique front bumper and an electric trailer brake controller. The flagship Ti-L Reserve combines air suspension with 22-inch wheels, rear entertainment screens and massage seats for both front occupants.

Warranty and servicing

The Patrol is covered by Nissan's 10-year or 300,000km warranty when serviced at Nissan dealers, plus capped-price servicing at $499 for each of the first five services. Service intervals are 12 months or 15,000km.

How it compares

The new Patrol lines up against the Toyota LandCruiser 300 at the top of the large four-wheel-drive market. Buyers wanting a smaller Nissan seven-seater can look at the Nissan Pathfinder. Nissan notes that specifications shown so far are based on pre-production vehicles and final Australian specifications may vary.
