Honda adds five free services and up to $3,000 in eGift cards

Honda Australia is offering five free scheduled services plus a prepaid eGift Mastercard worth $1,000, $1,500 or $3,000 on eligible new ’26 Build models. Eligibility is set by build, not by model year label. To qualify, the contract has to be signed between 1 November 2026 and 31 January 2027. The gift card is not a price cut, cannot be paid out in cash, is only available while stocks last and cannot be combined with a Honda Financial Services finance offer. The Super-ONE, Type R and demonstrator cars are excluded from the free services offer.

This replaces the AmpolCash fuel card campaign that ran on contracts signed during October 2026. The model tiers look much the same, but the card and the extras are different.

What Honda is offering

Honda’s official offers page lists the campaign as a plate clearance offer for ’26 Build stock. It has two parts, and each has its own conditions.

Eligibility is set by build, not model year. Honda’s terms refer to ’26 Build vehicles and do not mention model year (MY) at all. A model year label and a build date are not the same thing, so a car badged as a newer model year may or may not be a ’26 Build vehicle. Ask the dealer to confirm the build date on your exact car in writing before you sign.

What “five free services” actually covers

Honda’s terms say buyers receive their first five standard scheduled services free. They also state that free services include “only the items or work listed at the applicable time/kilometre interval in your Owner’s Warranty and Service Manual and excludes any additional maintenance work or items”.

In practice, anything that is not listed for that service interval in the manual is not included. Ask the dealer which items fall outside the schedule for your car. It is also not unlimited servicing, as normal costs apply after the first five standard services.

How the eGift card works

Honda says the card is issued by EML Payment Solutions and is sent within 30 days of delivery of the vehicle, not on the day you sign. Honda says it can extend or change the offer without notice.

The eGift card terms linked from Honda’s page describe an eGift digital prepaid Mastercard that is loaded once. Under those terms:

  • it can be used online with merchants that accept Mastercard prepaid cards, and in-store once it is added to Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay on a compatible device

  • it must be activated within six months of issue, or it is closed and the balance is forfeited

  • it cannot be used after the expiry date shown for the card, and you will not be warned before that happens

  • it cannot be cancelled, refunded or redeemed for cash

Those terms were dated 28 August 2023 when checked on 8 November 2026. Read the version that comes with your card, because the issuer’s terms control what happens.

How this differs from the October fuel card offer

The October campaign gave buyers a prepaid AmpolCash card that could only be used at participating Ampol sites. The same $3,000, $1,500 and $1,000 tiers applied to broadly the same grades.

The new campaign changes three things:

  1. The card is a general prepaid Mastercard, not a fuel card.

  2. Five free standard scheduled services are added.

  3. The contract window runs until 31 January 2027, with the gift card only while stocks last.

Is the eGift card worth more than finance

Because the card can’t be combined with a Honda Financial Services finance offer, a buyer who wants Honda finance may have to choose between the two. Compare the total cost of the finance offer, including the rate, fees and any balloon payment, with paying cash or using outside finance plus the card. The right answer depends on your own loan, so get both figures in writing.

Remember too that Honda sells at fixed national drive-away prices, and the estimate changes with your postcode. Check the price for your exact grade and colour on Honda’s site, and see our guide to on-road costs for what a drive-away figure includes.

Before you sign

  • Confirm in writing that the car is a ’26 Build vehicle and is not a demonstrator.

  • Ask which eGift card amount applies to your exact grade, and whether stock of cards remains.

  • Confirm in writing that the five free standard scheduled services are included.

  • If you plan to use Honda finance, ask whether the eGift card is lost.

  • Activate the card soon after it arrives and note its expiry date.
