GWM Ora 5 Lux drops to $32,990 drive-away in Victoria with $1,000 off until 30 November

The GWM ORA 5 SUV Lux is now $32,990 drive-away for private buyers in Victoria, which is GWM’s listed $33,990 drive-away offer price before an additional $1,000 reduction. That $1,000 is already counted in the $32,990, so there is no extra cashback on top. The offer applies to 2026-build cars and ends on 30 November 2026, and buyers can choose low-rate finance instead.

According to GWM’s current offers page, buyers get one of two choices on the Lux, not both.

Option

What GWM offers

Price basis

Offer 1

An extra $1,000 off the drive-away price

$33,990 drive-away less $1,000, which is $32,990

Offer 2

0.88% p.a. finance (2.71% p.a. comparison rate), $0 deposit, no balloon, 3-year term

Listed $33,990 drive-away price

Both choices end on 30 November 2026, and GWM says terms and conditions apply, including its comparison rate information. GWM’s drive-away prices are based on a private buyer in Victoria. Stamp duty, registration and dealer delivery differ between states, so the figure in New South Wales, Queensland or elsewhere can be different. Check your own postcode on GWM’s site or ask a dealer for an itemised quote.

Which car this covers

This is the ORA 5 SUV, the small electric SUV that started reaching Australian buyers this year. It is a different car from the older ORA hatchback, which also used Lux and Ultra grade names.

The offer covers the Lux grade only. We have not quoted an Ultra price because the offers on GWM’s pages apply to the Lux, so confirm the Ultra price with a dealer if you are cross-shopping.

What to check before you sign

Some dealer and comparison sites describe the deal as needing the car to be ordered and delivered by 30 November 2026. GWM’s offers page states only that the offer ends on 30 November 2026. Ask the dealer to confirm in writing whether delivery must also happen by that date, especially if the car you want is not in stock.

Also check:

  • that the car is a 2026-build vehicle, because the offer is tied to the build year

  • whether you are better off with $1,000 off or the 0.88% finance, by comparing the total cost of each over the loan term

  • that the quote shows the drive-away price with the $1,000 already taken off, and no extra add-ons you did not ask for

Is $1,000 off worth acting on

A $1,000 cut is a modest but real saving on a car in this price range. For buyers paying cash or using their own finance, the price cut is the simpler choice. For buyers who would otherwise take dealer finance, the 0.88% rate could save more than $1,000 over three years, depending on the amount borrowed. Ask for both options in writing and compare.

For how the ORA 5 fits with the rest of the range, see our GWM range guide. Our guide to on-road costs and drive-away prices explains what a drive-away figure includes.
