Lexus ES 350e brings single-motor electric power from $77,000 before on-road costs

Lexus Australia has priced the battery-electric Lexus ES 350e FWD Sports Luxury at $77,000 before on-road costs. The figure sits on Lexus Australia’s all-new ES media release as a manufacturer’s list price for media purposes, with statutory charges and other on-road costs excluded. It is not a national drive-away campaign price.

The ES 350e is the single-motor, front-wheel-drive electric sedan in the eighth-generation range. Lexus quotes 165 kW from the front motor, a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, up to 510 km on the WLTP cycle accepted under ADR 81/02 labelling, 22 kW three-phase AC charging and 150 kW CCS2 DC charging.

At launch Lexus says only the two battery-electric Sports Luxury grades are available, with the ES 300h hybrid joining later in the year. The 350e therefore opens the electric ES story in Australia ahead of the hybrid return.

Single-motor electric facts buyers need

Both electric grades share the 74.7 kWh pack and the same AC and DC charge hardware on the published sheet. The 350e’s WLTP range of up to 510 km sits above the dual-motor 500e’s up to 465 km. Energy-use footnotes cite 164 Wh/km for the 350e and 179 Wh/km for the 500e under the WLTP method used for ADR labelling. Real-world range still varies with speed, weather, load and climate control.

Where it sits for buyers

The $77,000 list price puts the 350e $2,000 above the hybrid Luxury list price and $7,000 below the dual-motor 500e on the same basis. On-road costs, paint and dealer delivery still sit outside those figures.
