Leapmotor brings back the C10 AWD Sports+ as it lines up more models for Australia

Leapmotor Australia has confirmed a second batch of the Leapmotor C10 AWD Sports+ Special Edition, its 440kW performance electric SUV, will arrive in November 2026. The return comes as the brand works to broaden its local range.

The first batch of 50 cars, announced in March 2026 at $53,888 before on-road costs, was quickly accounted for. Leapmotor has not officially confirmed pricing or the number of cars in the second batch, though around 70 more cars are reported to have been secured.

Paint choices will again include black and white with exterior striping, and a new purple finish will join the range. Compared with the rear-drive C10 electric variants, the Sports+ adds 280kW and 440Nm, putting it close to a Tesla Model Y Performance in straight-line pace for much less money.

Why a limited edition

Leapmotor Australia says it treats the Sports+ as an accessible halo model. Keeping it limited is designed to make it feel more exclusive and raise the brand's profile, rather than offering it as a regular variant.

The C10 range also includes a Design Long Range variant with the same 81.9kWh battery and 510km of WLTP range.

More Leapmotor models lined up

Leapmotor's local range has grown from two models to four by the end of 2026, with the C10 joined by the Leapmotor B10, the B05 hatch and the B03X small electric SUV. The brand also expects to finish the year with at least 25 dealers, up from 16 a year earlier.

Leapmotor Australia has signalled interest in the B05 Ultra performance hatch, the C16 three-row SUV and the large D19 SUV. The C16 is offered overseas as an electric or range-extender model, while the D19 is a flagship with a 1000V electric architecture. None of these is confirmed for Australia, and timing is still being worked through.

An updated C10 with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and faster charging has been revealed for Europe, but Leapmotor has not confirmed when it will reach Australia.

Our take

The Sports+ return gives Leapmotor a quick hit of attention while its wider range fills out. With pricing for the second batch yet to be set and numbers still limited, interested buyers should register early.
