2026 Leapmotor B10 Price in Australia

Leapmotor B10 is the smaller of Leapmotor’s two mainstream SUV families in Australia and has quickly become one of the brand’s most important local models. It arrived first as a battery-electric SUV and has since expanded with a Hybrid EV range-extender version, giving buyers the choice between pure electric motoring and an electric-drive setup backed by a petrol generator for longer journeys. The B10 is aimed at buyers who want modern EV technology, useful family space and competitive pricing without stepping into a larger premium SUV.

The battery-electric B10 is offered in Style and Design Long Range grades. Both use a rear-mounted electric motor producing 160 kW and 240 Nm and drive the rear wheels through a single-speed reduction gear. The Style uses an LFP battery of about 56.2 kWh and is rated at approximately 361 km WLTP, while the Design Long Range uses a larger 67.1 kWh LFP battery and reaches around 434 km WLTP. Leapmotor quotes 0–100 km/h performance of roughly 7.5 to 8.0 seconds depending on specification, which is brisk enough for normal urban and highway use.

Charging is competitive on the pure-electric models. Both support up to 11 kW AC charging, while DC fast charging is rated at approximately 140 kW for the Style and up to 168 kW for the Design Long Range. Under suitable charger and battery conditions, Leapmotor quotes around 20 minutes for a 30–80 percent DC charge. This makes the Design Long Range particularly useful for buyers who expect to undertake regular intercity travel.

The B10 Hybrid EV takes a different approach. A 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine is used as a generator and does not directly drive the wheels. The rear electric motor remains the propulsion source, producing 160 kW and 240 Nm. An 18.8 kWh LFP battery provides up to about 84 km of electric-only WLTP range, while the combination of battery and a 50-litre fuel tank can deliver around 900 km of total claimed range. AC charging is rated at 6.6 kW and DC charging at approximately 46 kW, so the range-extender model is more flexible for long trips but significantly slower to charge than the BEV.

Inside, the B10 uses a minimalist, technology-heavy layout. A 14.6-inch central touchscreen and 8.8-inch LCD driver display manage most vehicle functions, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now supported following an Australian over-the-air update. Connected services, online navigation, voice control, over-the-air software updates, wireless phone charging and a panoramic glass roof feature across much of the range. Design grades add powered front seats, heating and ventilation, a heated steering wheel, power tailgate, rear privacy glass, multi-colour ambient lighting and a 12-speaker sound system.

Practicality is strong for a compact SUV. Published Australian data lists around 490 litres of boot space, a 2,735 mm wheelbase and a body approximately 4.5 metres long. Five seats, a flat rear floor and a large central screen make it suitable for commuting and family use. Vehicle-to-load capability is also available on relevant versions, adding flexibility for camping or powering compatible equipment.

Current Australian colours include Light White, Galaxy Silver, Tundra Grey, Starry Night Blue, Dawn Purple and Metallic Black. For buyers comparing the Geely EX5, BYD Atto 3, MG S5 EV and other value-focused electric SUVs, the B10’s strengths are pricing, standard technology and the choice between BEV and range-extender power. Its weaknesses are the slower charging rate of the Hybrid EV, relatively new brand recognition and a local dealer and resale network that is still growing.
