MG4 EV Urban drive-away price

MG4 EV Urban listed from $31,990 drive-away on MG Australia’s configurator

MG Australia’s official vehicle page and build-and-price configurator now present the MG4 EV Urban as a compact electric hatch separate from the wider MG4 range. The official configurator lists Essence 43 from $31,990 drive-away and Essence 54 from $34,990 drive-away, with state-based on-road components baked into that drive-away pathway.

The national MG4 EV Urban vehicle page confirms the two-grade LFP battery line-up and equipment story. It does not hard-code the dollar figures in body copy, so treat the live configurator and participating-dealer quote as the price source of truth.

Grades MG Australia confirms

Grade

Battery and power

WLTP range

Essence 43

43 kWh LFP, 110 kW

Up to 316 km WLTP

Essence 54

54 kWh LFP, 118 kW

Up to 405 km WLTP

MG lists 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds for Essence 43 and 8.7 seconds for Essence 54. Both grades use 17-inch alloys. Kerb weights are listed at about 1,460 kg and 1,520 kg. The configurator learn-more panels also list maximum torque of 250 Nm, onboard AC charging at 6.6 kW, and DC charging up to 82 kW (Essence 43) or 87 kW (Essence 54).

On the vehicle page, MG quotes DC rapid charging from 10 to 80 per cent in about 28 minutes for the 43 kWh version and about 30 minutes for the 54 kWh version. Five drive modes and regenerative braking are part of the published feature set.

Price basis and October cashback

MG describes new-vehicle drive-away pricing as including 12 months’ registration and CTP, plus maximum dealer delivery and estimated stamp duty. Offers apply at participating dealers for new stock, while stocks last, and exclude fleet, government and rental buyers. Actual totals can change by state and delivery location.

Alongside the configurator’s $31,990 and $34,990 drive-away variant prices, MG’s current October terms describe a $2,000 cashback on the MG4 EV Urban for vehicles sold and delivered at participating dealers between 1 October and 31 October 2026. Cashback is framed as a point-of-sale deduction under those terms, not as a permanent change to the listed drive-away figure. Always refresh the live MG configurator or dealer quote for your postcode before buying.

Cabin, boot and daily equipment

MG positions the Urban as a five-seat hatch with adult-usable rear space. Boot volume is listed at up to 480 litres including 98 litres of underfloor storage, expanding to about 1,266 litres with the rear seats folded.

Standard technology highlighted by MG includes a 12.8-inch HD touchscreen, a 7-inch driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 15 W wireless phone charging, a 360-degree HD camera, keyless entry, ambient lighting, a six-speaker audio system, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Physical volume and climate controls are retained.

Safety and warranty context

MG states the MG4 EV Urban carries a five-star ANCAP rating with seven airbags and the MG Pilot assistance suite, including autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist and blind-spot detection. The configurator learn-more panels reference MG’s longer warranty pathway of up to 10 years or 250,000 km when conditions are met. Check the live warranty page for the registration date that applies to your car.

How it fits the affordable EV set

The Urban is MG’s more city-focused electric hatch within the MG4 family. Bottom line

MG Australia confirms a two-grade MG4 EV Urban hatch with 316 km and 405 km WLTP claims. The official MG configurator lists Essence 43 from $31,990 drive-away and Essence 54 from $34,990 drive-away, with a separate October $2,000 cashback offer at participating dealers for sales and deliveries inside that window.
