Chevrolet Corvette is the factory right-hand-drive mid-engine sports-car family sold in Australia through GM Specialty Vehicles, with three distinct models for MY26: Stingray, E-Ray and Z06. Stingray uses a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated LT2 V8 producing 369 kW and 637 Nm and reaches 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, E-Ray adds an electrified front axle for all-wheel drive and combined outputs of 488 kW and 806 Nm with a 2.9-second sprint, while the track-focused Z06 uses a 5.5-litre flat-plane-crank LT6 V8 producing 475 kW and 595 Nm and accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds; all use an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. For Australian buyers, Corvette offers supercar-level performance, removable-roof or convertible options on Stingray, advanced Magnetic Ride suspension, performance data recording, premium Bose audio and modern MY26 connected services at a price point below many European exotics, although it remains a two-seat sports car with modest luggage room, wide dimensions and high tyre and running costs.

GMSV currently offers Corvette Stingray, Corvette E-Ray and Corvette Z06 in Australia.
The MY26 Stingray uses a 6.2-litre LT2 V8 producing 369 kW and 637 Nm.
E-Ray combines the LT2 V8 with an electrified front axle, creating all-wheel drive and combined outputs of 488 kW and 806 Nm.
Z06 uses a 5.5-litre LT6 naturally aspirated V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft, producing 475 kW and 595 Nm.
GMSV quotes 0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds for Stingray, 2.9 seconds for E-Ray and 3.0 seconds for Z06.
Stingray is available in both coupe and power-retractable hardtop convertible forms. E-Ray and Z06 are currently listed locally in coupe configuration.

Chevrolet Corvette is the halo performance-car family sold in Australia by GM Specialty Vehicles and is one of the few American sports cars engineered from the factory in right-hand drive. The current Australian line-up consists of Stingray, E-Ray and Z06. Although each shares the C8 mid-engine architecture and eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, their characters are very different: Stingray is the everyday performance model, E-Ray adds electrified all-wheel drive and Z06 is developed primarily around high-revving track performance.
Stingray is the entry point to the range. Its 6.2-litre LT2 naturally aspirated V8 sits behind the cabin and sends 369 kW and 637 Nm to the rear wheels. GMSV quotes 0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. In Australia, the Z51 Performance Package is standard, adding Brembo brakes, performance suspension, electronic limited-slip differential, heavy-duty cooling, performance exhaust and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. Stingray is offered in 2LT and 3LT trims, with coupe and power-retractable hardtop convertible body styles available.
E-Ray is the first production Corvette with all-wheel drive. It combines the 6.2-litre LT2 V8 with an electrified front axle, producing a combined 488 kW and 806 Nm. The front motor provides instant torque and additional traction without turning the car into a conventional plug-in hybrid. GMSV lists 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, making E-Ray the quickest current Australian Corvette in a straight line. Carbon-ceramic brakes, Magnetic Selective Ride Control and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S ZP tyres are standard.
Z06 takes a very different approach. Its 5.5-litre LT6 V8 uses a flat-plane crankshaft and can rev to 8,600 rpm, producing 475 kW and 595 Nm. The engine’s character is closer to a racing powerplant than the torquier LT2. GMSV quotes 0–100 km/h in 3.0 seconds. Wide bodywork, specialised cooling, stronger brakes and track-oriented aerodynamic features give Z06 a much more focused personality than Stingray.
The 2026 interior introduces a more modern three-screen command centre. Stingray includes a 12.7-inch centre display, a 14-inch driver information display and a 6.6-inch auxiliary touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless phone charging, Google built-in compatibility, head-up display, Bose Performance Series audio and the Performance Data Recorder are available depending on grade. Connected Services are now supported on model-year 2026 and newer Corvettes in Australia, adding remote commands, vehicle status and over-the-air software functionality through the Chevrolet mobile app.
Practicality is better than the styling suggests, particularly on Stingray, which was designed with touring use in mind. The mid-engine layout provides storage areas front and rear, and the coupe’s removable roof panel can be stored in the rear luggage area. Even so, Corvette is strictly a two-seater and its width, low ride height and expensive performance tyres make it less convenient than a conventional GT for everyday urban use.
For Australian buyers comparing Porsche 911, Lotus Emira, Maserati MC20 and European supercars, Corvette delivers an unusually broad performance range. Stingray is the best all-rounder, E-Ray provides all-weather acceleration and Z06 is the natural choice for track-focused drivers. The main disadvantages are limited rearward visibility, specialist tyre and servicing costs and a relatively small local dealer network. Performance per dollar, however, remains one of Corvette’s strongest advantages.
