Peugeot E-Expert Van is the fully electric version of Peugeot Australia’s medium commercial van and is aimed at fleets and businesses that need more space than the E-Partner but do not require the size of a Boxer. The local vehicle is offered in Pro Long form, combining a long cargo body with an electric drivetrain and equipment designed around urban delivery, service work and depot-based operation. Because the battery is packaged under the floor, the E-Expert keeps the useful rectangular cargo area that businesses expect from the diesel Expert.
The electric motor produces 100 kW and 260 Nm and drives the front wheels through a single-speed reduction transmission. A 75 kWh lithium-ion battery provides up to 330 km of WLTP range. That figure is measured in standardised conditions and real-world range will be affected by payload, speed, climate control, ambient temperature and driving style. The motor’s instant torque gives the van smooth low-speed acceleration, which is particularly useful when repeatedly moving away from loading zones or traffic lights.
Charging can be handled at a depot, workplace or public station. The onboard charger supports up to 11 kW AC. Peugeot quotes approximately 7 hours 30 minutes for a 0–100 percent charge using a suitable three-phase 11 kW wallbox. DC fast charging is rated at 100 kW, with approximately 45 minutes quoted for a 0–80 percent rapid charge. A Mode 3 Type 2 charging cable is included in the Australian specification, together with a Peugeot storage bag for the cable.
Commercial capability remains strong. Peugeot lists payload at up to roughly 1,001 kg and cargo volume at around 6.1 cubic metres for the long-body electric van. The E-Expert measures about 5.33 metres long, just over 2.2 metres wide including mirrors and slightly under 1.95 metres high. The 12.4-metre turning circle helps the large van remain manageable in urban environments.
The cabin includes a 10-inch high-definition touchscreen, DAB radio, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition and myPeugeot app integration. Automatic dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry, push-button start and the ModuWork mobile-office system are also included. ModuWork combines a rotating work table, under-seat storage and load-through capability so operators can carry longer items without permanently giving up the passenger-side workspace.
Safety equipment follows Peugeot’s current commercial-vehicle approach with active driver assistance, parking systems and reversing-camera technology. The EV also benefits from quieter low-speed operation, though drivers need to remain aware of pedestrians and cyclists in busy loading areas. Battery placement helps maintain a low centre of gravity, while the familiar Expert body means fleet operators can use many of the same cargo-access routines and accessories as the diesel model.
Ownership coverage is strong for a commercial EV. Peugeot Australia provides a five-year or 200,000 km vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 160,000 km battery warranty, plus separate paintwork and corrosion warranties. Official Australian Expert-family paint choices include Ice White, Artense Grey, Platinum Grey and Nera Black. Compared with the diesel Expert, the E-Expert offers quieter operation and no tailpipe emissions but has lower practical long-distance flexibility and requires reliable charging access. For fleets with predictable daily distances, overnight depot charging and urban routes, it can be a very effective electric commercial vehicle.
