2026 Foton Aumark S Price in Australia

The Foton Aumark S is the core light-duty truck family in Foton Australia’s commercial-vehicle range. It is offered in multiple weight classes and configurations so businesses can match the chassis to their payload, body and licence requirements rather than buying a single fixed specification. Australian listings include 5D15 and 6D15 short- and medium-wheelbase models, plus heavier 8D15 and 9D15 versions, with cab-chassis and tipper choices across much of the range. This breadth makes the Aumark S relevant to couriers, trades, local distribution fleets, landscaping businesses and operators that require a compact forward-control truck.

Powertrain specifications vary by weight class. Current 5D15 and 6D15 Australian specification sheets list a Cummins F2.5EVIE 2.5-litre four-cylinder common-rail turbo-diesel producing 110 kW and 400 Nm. The 8D15 uses a larger Cummins F3.8 diesel producing 115 kW and 550 Nm. Depending on variant, buyers can select manual or automated-manual transmissions, allowing fleets to choose a conventional driver-controlled gearbox or an AMT that can reduce workload in stop-start urban operation.

Payload and chassis flexibility are major reasons to consider the Aumark S. The 5D15 is rated at 4,495 kg GVM, the 6D15 at 5,995 kg, while heavier variants extend the range further. Foton lists maximum braked towing capacity of 3,500 kg on current cab-chassis specifications. Short- and medium-wheelbase choices help operators balance manoeuvrability against body length, and the ladder-style chassis is designed to accept commercial bodies suited to different industries.

The cab is designed around daily work rather than luxury. Current Australian specifications include seating for three, air conditioning, power windows, adjustable steering, multiple storage areas and a reversing camera. Depending on model, infotainment includes a touchscreen with communication and media functions. Heated and power-adjustable exterior mirrors on applicable models improve visibility around the vehicle, while the forward-control tilt cab assists service access.

Safety equipment is an important part of the Australian proposition. Published Aumark S specifications include systems such as anti-lock braking, electronic stability control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning and lane-departure warning on applicable models, along with driver and passenger airbags, reversing sensors or camera equipment and ECE R29 cab-strength compliance. Exact equipment varies across the broad Aumark S family, so commercial buyers should verify the selected model code before ordering.

For Australian businesses, the Aumark S competes on specification, flexibility and operating value. Its Cummins engines are familiar commercial hardware, while the broad model range allows buyers to avoid paying for more truck than their task requires. The main consideration is that Foton’s Australian light-truck dealer and resale footprint is smaller than long-established Japanese competitors. Buyers should therefore weigh purchase value and equipment against local servicing access, intended ownership period and expected resale demand.
