MG 10-Year Warranty Australia Explained, Eligibility, Servicing Rules and Battery Coverage

MG offers up to 10 years of warranty coverage in Australia, but not every vehicle qualifies automatically. For eligible privately used MG passenger vehicles first registered from 1 July 2025, the standard warranty is seven years with unlimited kilometres. Owners can extend coverage to a total of 10 years or 250,000 km by meeting MG's authorised-dealer servicing requirements. This guide explains the differences between MG's current and previous warranty policies, how servicing affects eligibility, what happens when a scheduled service is missed, and why electric-vehicle battery coverage must be considered separately. It also explains how commercial use, used-car purchases and Australian Consumer Law affect owners.
