GWM has introduced a 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel in the Cannon Alpha dual-cab ute and seven-seat Tank 500 SUV. Both produce 170kW and 620Nm, use a nine-speed automatic and are rated to tow 3,500kg braked. Each model has Lux and Vanta diesel grades. Advertised prices start at $58,990 drive-away for private buyers in Victoria, with a separate conditional $2,000 offer
