2026 Mahindra XUV 3XO Price in Australia

The Mahindra XUV3XO is the company’s compact SUV for Australia, positioned as an accessible entry point into the brand while still offering equipment usually associated with more expensive models. Launched locally in 2025, it quickly expanded with additional colours and, in 2026, a limited Black Anniversary Edition. The regular range comprises AX5L and AX7L grades, giving buyers a choice between a well-equipped base specification and a more premium version with additional comfort and presentation features.

Power comes from a 1.2-litre turbocharged multipoint-injection petrol engine producing 82 kW and 200 Nm. It is paired with a six-speed Aisin torque-converter automatic. Mahindra publishes ADR combined fuel consumption of 6.5 L/100 km, with urban and extra-urban figures also available. This mechanical package is designed around everyday drivability rather than outright performance, and the compact dimensions make the XUV3XO easy to place in busy suburban streets and shopping-centre car parks.

Technology is unusually comprehensive for the price segment. Both core Australian variants feature dual 10.25-inch high-definition displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, push-button start, dual-zone climate control and a surround-view camera with Blind View Monitor. The AX7L adds a panoramic Skyroof, Harman Kardon audio, front parking sensors, LED fog lamps and a 65W USB-C charging outlet capable of supporting larger devices.

Safety is a major part of the Australian specification. Mahindra lists more than 55 safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control, all-wheel disc brakes and Level 2 driver assistance. The assistance package includes technologies such as automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and traffic sign recognition. These features are valuable in urban and highway use, although the driver remains responsible for controlling the vehicle at all times.

Practicality is shaped by the XUV3XO’s compact dimensions. It measures just under four metres long yet offers a relatively wide cabin and a commanding seating position. The AX5L rides on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while AX7L moves to 17-inch wheels and a more premium cabin treatment. Its small-SUV footprint means it cannot match larger Mahindra models for third-row seating, towing-oriented hardware or luggage capacity, but it is easier to live with in metropolitan Australia.

For buyers comparing affordable small SUVs, the XUV3XO’s strongest arguments are equipment, warranty coverage and pricing. Mahindra Australia supports it with a seven-year/150,000 km factory warranty for eligible private buyers, roadside assistance and capped-price servicing. The brand’s dealer footprint and resale history are less established than long-standing Japanese and Korean competitors, which buyers should consider. Even so, the XUV3XO delivers an unusually rich technology and safety package for its price and is a credible choice for value-conscious Australian households.
