2026 LDV Terron 9 Price in Australia

The LDV Terron 9 is the brand's large dual-cab ute for Australia, positioned above the familiar T60 MAX with a stronger focus on cabin space, towing, technology and long-distance comfort. Its broad stance, integrated tub design and large body give it the road presence buyers expect from the latest generation of full-size-feeling one-tonne utes, while the range is structured around Origin and more highly equipped Evolve grades.

Power comes from a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 163 kW and 520 Nm, matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system. LDV quotes 3.5 tonnes of braked towing capacity across the range and supplies a tow bar as standard. The Origin carries a payload of up to 1,100 kg, while the Evolve trades some payload for additional comfort and equipment. Terrain modes, a rear differential lock and off-road functions give the Terron 9 useful capability beyond sealed roads.

The cabin is a major part of the Terron 9's appeal. LDV describes it as its most spacious ute, with room for five adults, a 60:40 split-folding rear seat and more than 30 storage areas. Dual 12.3-inch displays bring instrumentation and infotainment into a contemporary widescreen layout, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto helping drivers integrate navigation, calls and media. The Evolve adds luxury-focused touches including heated front and rear outboard seats, a ventilated driver's seat, massage and memory functions, a heated steering wheel and an eight-speaker JBL audio system.

Practicality remains central. The tub measures about 1,561 mm long by 1,500 mm wide, has a lift-assisted tailgate and is designed to accommodate work gear, camping equipment and everyday loads. Evolve models add features such as cargo LED lighting and a sliding cargo rail. For towing, a 360-degree camera is standard and the Evolve adds a tow-ball view to simplify trailer alignment.

Safety technology includes autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert and a surround-view camera. These systems are intended to reduce driver workload on long trips and provide extra awareness in traffic and tight spaces, although drivers remain responsible for vehicle control and should understand the operating limits of assistance systems.

For Australian buyers, the Terron 9's strongest value proposition is the combination of 3.5-tonne towing, one-tonne-class payload, a powerful diesel drivetrain and a much more upmarket cabin than traditional work-focused utes. It is particularly attractive to buyers who tow, travel or want a large family-friendly dual cab. The trade-offs are its substantial exterior dimensions, diesel running costs, reduced payload on the more heavily equipped Evolve and the fact that a newer model has less long-term resale history than established segment leaders.
