The LDV eDeliver 5 expands LDV Australia's electric commercial range with a van designed specifically around urban and suburban work. It is available as a Short Wheelbase, Long Wheelbase Low Roof and Long Wheelbase High Roof model, giving businesses a choice between a more compact footprint and greater load volume. The short version offers 6.6 cubic metres of cargo space, while the larger bodies increase capacity to as much as 8.7 cubic metres.

Every eDeliver 5 uses a 64 kWh battery and a 120 kW electric motor producing 240 Nm. The Short Wheelbase has a quoted WLTP range of up to 335 km, making it particularly relevant to last-mile delivery, metropolitan service work and predictable fleet routes. Electric drive is naturally well suited to stop-start traffic because it is quiet, smooth and does not idle while stationary.

Charging flexibility is important for a working EV. LDV specifies up to 70 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 20 to 80 per cent charge in about 36 minutes under suitable conditions. An 11 kW three-phase AC onboard charger can complete the same 20 to 80 per cent window in roughly four hours. For businesses with depot charging, overnight AC charging can make the vehicle ready for the next shift without a fuel-station visit.

The eDeliver 5 also offers Vehicle to Load capability with up to 6.6 kW output. That can be useful for trades and mobile businesses because tools, equipment and devices can draw power directly from the vehicle's high-voltage battery through compatible equipment. Dual sliding doors and rear barn doors improve cargo access, while payload ranges from about 1,200 kg to 1,265 kg depending on configuration.

Inside, the eDeliver 5 seats three across the front and includes useful commercial technology such as a 360-degree camera and rear parking sensors. Driver-assistance equipment includes lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality. These features can reduce workload during repetitive urban driving, although drivers remain responsible for safe vehicle operation.

LDV Australia backs the eDeliver 5 with a five-year or 160,000 km vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 250,000 km battery warranty, subject to conditions. Its strongest use case is a business with predictable daily kilometres and access to home or depot charging. Operators regularly travelling far beyond the quoted range may prefer diesel, but for city fleets the combination of 335 km maximum range, useful payload, V2L and substantial cargo space makes the eDeliver 5 a practical electric alternative.
