DEEPAL E07 is the most unusual model in the brand’s Australian range. DEEPAL describes it as a Multitruck because it combines a large five-seat electric SUV cabin with a powered rear section that can change the shape and accessibility of the cargo area. It is designed for buyers who want premium EV comfort during normal driving but also need more flexible luggage and lifestyle carrying capacity than a conventional SUV offers.
Two Australian powertrains are available. The E07 RWD uses a rear electric motor producing 252 kW and 365 Nm and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in about 6.7 seconds. The AWD Performance adds a second motor for combined output of 440 kW and 645 Nm, cutting the 0–100 km/h time to approximately 3.96 seconds. Both versions use an 89.98 kWh battery. WLTP driving range is quoted at up to 550 km for the rear-drive model and 510 km for the AWD Performance.
Charging is one of the E07’s strongest technical advantages. The 800-volt architecture supports DC fast charging at up to 240 kW, and DEEPAL quotes a 30–80 percent charging time of around 15 minutes under suitable conditions. AC charging is rated at 7 kW, with a full charge taking roughly 13 hours. These figures make the E07 substantially faster to replenish on a high-power DC charger than the S07.
The cabin is positioned well above typical utility vehicles. Both Australian versions use Nappa-appointed seating materials and provide powered front seats with lumbar and leg-rest adjustment. Driver and front-passenger seats offer heating, ventilation, memory, massage and zero-gravity functions, while the rear seats also provide heating, ventilation, massage and powered backrest adjustment. The result is closer to a luxury SUV than a conventional pickup or work vehicle.
Practicality is a major part of the E07 concept. With the rear seats upright, the rear cargo area provides around 524 litres, increasing to about 1,654 litres with the seats folded. A separate 131-litre front compartment adds useful storage. The rear cargo floor measures approximately 941 mm with the tailgate up and 1,543 mm with the tailgate lowered. DEEPAL lists a dynamic payload of 300 kg, so the E07 is best thought of as a lifestyle utility vehicle rather than a heavy-duty commercial ute.
Air suspension allows the driver to vary ride height, with ground-clearance settings around 133 mm, 183 mm and 223 mm. Double-wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear setup are used on both versions. The AWD Performance adds extra traction and far stronger acceleration, while the RWD model maximises efficiency and range.
Ownership support includes a seven-year or 160,000 km vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 240,000 km battery warranty, subject to DEEPAL’s conditions. Exterior colours differ by variant. RWD is offered in Quartz White, Hematite Grey and Obsidian Black, while AWD Performance adds Hematite Matte Grey, Spessartite Orange and Jade Green. For Australian buyers comparing large premium EVs and lifestyle pickups, the E07 offers unique versatility, excellent charging speed and a very high equipment level. Its drawbacks are sheer size, relatively modest 300 kg payload and a concept that may be more specialised than some families need.
