The CUPRA Tavascan is a fully electric medium SUV coupé that brings a more design-led and performance-focused character to Australia's growing EV market. The Tavascan Endurance sends 210kW to the rear wheels and is the range-focused version, with CUPRA's latest Australian material quoting up to 534km of WLTP driving range. The VZ adds a second motor for all-wheel drive and a combined 250kW output. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds and offers up to 499km WLTP range in the latest specification, with range varying according to equipment and real-world conditions.

Both versions use a 77kWh battery and support 11kW AC charging and up to 135kW DC fast charging. That combination allows owners to use three-phase home or destination charging where available while also making longer Australian trips more practical through compatible public DC chargers. As with any EV, actual charging speed and range depend on battery temperature, charger capability, weather, traffic, driving style and vehicle load.

The Tavascan measures 4,644mm long, 1,861mm wide and 1,597mm high, with a 2,766mm wheelbase. Its 540-litre luggage area expands to around 1,550 litres with the rear seats folded, giving it useful capacity for family trips and bulky items. The Endurance prioritises efficiency with rear-wheel drive, while the VZ adds all-wheel-drive traction, DCC adaptive suspension and a more performance-oriented specification.

Technology is a major part of the cabin experience. A 15-inch central touchscreen manages infotainment and many vehicle functions, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Depending on variant and package selection, buyers can access features such as a 360-degree camera, Sennheiser premium audio, Matrix high-beam technology, power and memory front seats and upgraded interior trim. Australian buyers should confirm package content because some equipment shown in promotional material is optional.

The Tavascan suits buyers who want an EV with a stronger visual and dynamic identity than many mainstream electric SUVs. The Endurance is the logical choice for maximum advertised range, while the VZ provides quicker acceleration and AWD traction.
